The first visit of the year. A cold damp day so mainly just a visit to the Glasshouse.

The butterfly display in the Glasshouse is scheduled for 15 January - 27 February.
But the butterflies were flying in the Glasshouse this afternoon as Wisley prepares for the display.

The River

The river was flowing fast and high by the golf course.

16 January

Spring has Sprung

First snowdrops of the year are now out.

The butterfly display in the Glasshouse opened yesterday 15 January - and the Glasshouse was packed today.

The Butterflies in the Glasshouse (16 January to 27 February 2011) display continues, and this week we did visit the Glasshouse. Photos of butterflies below.

Out in the Garden Again

Spring has Sprung

Amazingly the first daffs of the year are now out! And some rhorhododendrons were in flower.
The Glasshouse queue, for the butterflies, was much too long to bother about.

Looking a llittle bare.

Wallace Bird Hide

The Wallace Bird Hide is now open. There was however not a lot of activity on the river-bank.
