Other parts of the gardens, including the Pinetum and Howard's heather fields, were cordoned off because the bad weather had made the areas unsafe (e.g. snow on trees had brought down over 100 branches).

Snow drops


The heavy snow of a fortnight ago is gone, but parts of the gardens, including the Pinetum and Howard's heather fields, are still cordoned off because the areas remain unsafe.
But at least the snowdrops are out.
